Upcoming Networking Events - Here are a few highlights -

San Diego Business Journal's 2008
Economic Trends breakfast is tomorrow, January 8th. I have
attended in the past and it will be a great opportunity to meet the
business leaders of San Diego.
The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)
meets for dinner on the 16th. And Biz San Diego Magazine starts
their great Speaker
Series Breakfasts on Thursday the 24th.
The Oceanside and Vista Chambers are joining forces for at
least three 5-Minute Networking events this year and the first
one is January 23rd.
For those of you who are interested in networking in Orange County,
here are a couple of options. First,
RBN is having their
Major Business Expo on Tuesday the 29th. Second, the American
Business Women's Assocation (ABWA) will be holding their
2008 Women On The Go regional conference in Fullerton on January
26th.
The 2008 San Diego Networking Guide Calendar is

Of course, it will always be a work in progress. Some of the
Chambers have yet to update their own calendars, but I will continue to
add to it.
As in the past, there are two calendars that give
you a month's glance at upcoming events....one calendar for chamber
events, and one calendar for weekly, & monthly networking organizations.

LinkedIn is proving to be a major player in online business and
relationship development. I have been talking about the online community
LinkedIn for a while. Just when I was thinking of getting us all
together and connecting, one of my "connections", Stephanie
Adams, actually started a San Diego chapter...
LinkedIn San Diego. She is planning her first mixer for
those members on January 16th.

What is "Good Service...Really?
We have all read it…a thousand times at least…the description in
a marketing piece that claims they are “Dedicated to customer service”.
It’s probably in our own marketing material right now. We ALL want to
give “good customer service”. (If not, we should not be in business!).
This past holiday season, as emails message of peace and “good will”
were making the rounds, I came upon this one that had a simple, but
heartfelt message applicable to any time of the year and to everyone
in business. It is only 3 minutes long. Do you have three minutes to
